Cooperation since 2019. The Foundation supports the 6-year project "Research for Survival" with funds from the Species Protection Euro. The studies by Chilean and New Zealand scientists started at the end of 2021 and will provide data on the population in Chile, breeding success and foraging.

The cooperation goes back to the time before Sphenisco was founded. The BdZ regularly promotes projects, informs about campaigns and actively supports them. Sphenisco is often present at birdkeepers' meetings and the annual general meeting with presentations and information stands.

Since 2019, Andrea and Karl Ramsel have been supporting the association's species conservation projects with the so-called "Penguin Wine", a Pinot Blanc. Not only does 1 euro per bottle go to the projects,  with each bottle Andrea and Karl also promote the protection of the Humboldt penguins.
